I joined Holborn Assets when I was 22-years-old, starting as a junior receptionist with the company.
Promoting from within is very much a part of the Holborn company culture, and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
Within a year of starting my career with Holborn, I was promoted to operations supervisor. Since 2015 I have occupied the role of Executive PA to the board.
Holborn Assets are a company that is invested in its employees and their professional development. I am now studying for my CIPD exams while focussing on the day-to-day operational side of the business.
Michele Carby – Senior Partner
Following a successful career in Hong Kong, I joined Holborn in 2015 in search of new challenges.
I have been with the company for six years now, and during that time, I have been Holborn’s top adviser for three consecutive years. My hard work led to me winning the Highly Commended Woman of the Year Award for 2020.
For me, this job is about making peoples’ hopes and dreams come true. The resources and support that Holborn has provided have allowed me to excel and provide my clients with the very best support.
Sam Ebbs – Senior Associate
When I joined Holborn, we were a boutique family office of only 14 people. In 2021 I celebrated my 15th year with Holborn Assets, and I have never looked back.
I now personally work with over 200 clients, helping them to reach their financial goals and supporting them wherever they are in the world. I also manage a strong team of IFAs, all with their own growing client bases.
We started as a small operation with a desire to grow. We are now one of the largest international advisory firms globally, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the journey.
Lourens Reichert – Senior Partner
I joined Holborn as a manager of a small team, opening our Johannesburg office. It was our first office in South Africa, and since then, we have gone from strength-to-strength in the region.
In a few short years, I have overseen office openings in Cape Town, Durban and recently Mauritius. Not only am I responsible for four offices in my role as regional manager for Africa, but I also oversee a team of IFAs and financial administrators.
The team recently received two prestigious and well-deserved awards for Best Client Services Africa and Best Advisory firm Africa in 2020. I am exceptionally proud of the team and what we have achieved.
